Points Event (Stableford-Style)

Format (Quick Overview)

  • Individual Stroke Play
  • Holes: 18 holes
  • Scoring: Players earn points each hole based on their net score (highest total points wins)
  • Divisions (by tee box):
    • Gold / Blue
    • White / Green
  • Skins: Two skins divisions (same tee split as weekly open play)
    • Gold / Blue
    • White / Green
  • Handicap requirement: You must have a Men’s Club Handicap
    • If you do not, you will play scratch

Handicap Allowance

  • Event Handicap = 95% of each player’s Men’s Club Course Handicap
  • Allowance follows USGA recommendations for this format

3-under or better (Double Eagle) 8
2-under (Eagle) 5
1-under (Birdie) 3
Even (Par) 1
1-over (Bogey) 0
2-over (Double Bogey) -1
3-over or worse (Triple Bogey+) -2

Skins (Optional / Paid Out by Division)

Skins are run like weekly open play with a tee split:

  • Gold / Blue division
  • White / Green division

Skins handicap rules only:

  • 80% of Men’s Club Course Handicap
  • ½ pops
  • Pops capped at 18 total (max ½ per hole)

Skins payout:

  • Winners in each division split that division’s skins pot equally
  • Paid out at the conclusion of scoring

Weather Policy

This is a one-day event with no make-up.

Pro Shop Credit & CTP

If 40% or more of the players on the published tee sheet do not finish due to inclement weather:

  • No Pro Shop credit payout for this event
  • Funds roll into the yearly prize pool for future events
  • Players who finish should still enter scores—those scores count toward the Men’s Club Handicap Index

Skins (Weather)

  • If you enter skins and tee off, your money remains in the skins pot
  • If you do not finish due to weather, you’re eligible for skins on holes completed
  • Skins may be returned only if the course closes

Birdie Board & Hole-in-One Pot

Hole-by-hole results count for Birdie Board and Hole-in-One Pot, even if you don’t finish.
