Event Play & Scoring

- Match Handicap: 90% of each player’s Men’s Club Handicap
(Recommendation of the World Handicap System) - Each player plays their own ball on every hole
- Record gross (actual) score on the scorecard
- Team score on each hole = best net score of the two partners
Net score per hole:
- Apply handicap strokes to the gross score:
- Subtract 1 stroke on holes where a stroke is received
- Subtract 2 strokes where applicable
- If no stroke is received, net = gross
Winning the hole:
- The team with the lowest net score wins the hole
Points (Day 1):
- Front 9: 1 point
- Back 9: 1 point
- Overall (18): 1 point
- Ties earn ½ point each
Day 2: Individual Match Play
- Match Handicap: 100% of your Men’s Club Handicap
- Each player plays their own ball on every hole
- Record gross (actual) score on the scorecard
Net score per hole:
- Apply handicap strokes the same way as Day 1:
- Subtract 1 stroke where earned
- Subtract 2 strokes where applicable
- Otherwise net = gross
Winning the hole:
- The player with the lowest net score wins the hole
Points (Day 2):
- Front 9: 1 point
- Back 9: 1 point
- Overall (18): 1 point
- Ties earn ½ point each
